In 2018, I partnered with the Climate Listening Project to conduct interviews and draw portraits of community gardeners around Asheville, North Carolina. Through this project, I hoped to share the human element of urban agriculture, and to demonstrate how we are all able to connect with our food system in some way. From the Same Soil was funded through a UNC Asheville McCullough Fellowship and was sponsored by the UNC Asheville department of Sustainability.
